Primary Campus: January Highlights

Posted: 10th February 2024

January has been quite an exciting month filled with engaging activities and inspiring moments. In today’s blog post, we take a look at some of the highlights that made this month memorable:

Polo Club Marketing Event

The Polo Club Games is an annual Polo tournament that welcomes individuals and personalities from all walks of life to a series of equestrian games and other side attractions. It was held in Port Harcourt from the 14th to the 20th of January 2024. Greenoak International School was present to promote its services to prospective parents and individuals. We distributed fliers and spoke to numerous individuals about our preschool, Primary and Secondary divisions.

Book Review

In January, our avid young readers delved into the captivating world of literature with the review of some thought-provoking books. It was held on the 29th of January 2024.

Students from every grade presented their reviews of books such as “The Secret Seven” by Enid Blyton, “The Merchant of Venice” by William Shakespeare, “Alice in Wonderland” by Lewis Carroll, and more. They discussed the author, the storyline, related works, and the moral lessons. But their efforts didn’t end there; they also adorned themselves in colorful costumes and performed captivating dramatizations of each book.

Student Highlight:

Last but certainly not least, we want to recognize a special fourth grader who has been captured and held our attention due to their outstanding academic achievements.

Kenenna Obi emerged as the top student in his class last session and has since maintained a string of consistent performances. His dedication and commitment at such a young age are truly inspiring and we are sure he has a bright future ahead.
