Primary Student Spotlight: Meet The Young Author Inspiring Her Peers

Posted: 3rd February 2025

GIS is happy to shine a spotlight on Sai Amritha, a talented young author from our Primary Campus. With over 400+ books read to date, the young author is turning her passion for reading and art into book publications. At just her young age of 10, she has written and published two books titled: Iris and the Flippers of Peace, and the Big Fox and the Eagle Empire”.

We had the privilege of sitting down with Sai to talk about her journey as an author, her inspirations, and her advice for aspiring writers.

Marketing Department:  What’s your inspiration?

Sai Amritha: I just enjoy reading a lot . I spend a lot of time reading, and I decided to put my thoughts into writing.

Marketing Department:  Have your parents positively influenced your writing?

Sai Amritha: Yes, they always encourage me to write. They also help me check and correct any grammatical errors, and they help me to publish the books.

Marketing Department:  What have been your challenges while writing?

Sai Amritha: Sometimes I face mental blocks. Or maybe I forget my ideas because I got busy with something else.

Marketing Department:  What’s your advice to students who may be interested in becoming authors?

Sai Amritha: I’d say read a lot of books! And also plan well about what you want to write. My second book was easier because I planned it better.

Sai’s achievements remind us of the limitless potential within every student when passion meets dedication. At Greenoak International School, we are proud to support talents like Sai’s, fostering creativity and encouraging students to pursue their dreams in all fields.

We’re honoured to celebrate Sai’s journey and look forward to seeing where her talent and determination take her next. Keep soaring, Sai!
