Primary Campus | Coffee and Tea Morning Highlights

Posted: 6th June 2024

On May, 10 2024, Greenoak Primary School welcomed her parents to a delightful Coffee and Tea Morning. It was aimed at nurturing our school community and fostering meaningful connections between parents, school management and our pupils.

The day kicked off with a warm welcome from our principal. This set the tone for a morning filled with camaraderie and learning. A major highlight was the interactive exercise between the parents and senior staff themed “What Do You Want Your Child to Learn?” Parents were paired into groups of four and asked to share ideas on skills (non-academic and academic) that they’d like their child to learn.

Another notable highlight of the morning was an engaging ICT presentation by one of our teachers, focusing on the topic of child safety. He shared relevant issues and resources to help parents monitor their children’s activity in the online space.

This was also accompanied by a lovely violin rendition of William Gomez’s ‘A Windy Breakfast‘ by the Grade 4 students.

Presentations also included a practical academic presentation on volcanoes.

The event was an opportunity to reinforce our appreciation of our school community and to strengthen partnerships between home and school. We are deeply grateful to all the parents who attended. For those who could not, we hope to have you with us at other such meetups.

We look forward to many more moments of connection and growth!
