movie day

Recently, Educare (nursery) held an interesting movie day as part of the ICA Entry Point unit on Family and Friends. The activity was aimed to help children understand the importance of family life through engaging, practical experiences.

For the activity, the auditorium was turned into a mini movie theatre, giving the children a feel of a real movie outing. Before the screening, the children got the chance to buy tickets at a makeshift counter, where they practised waiting in line and used simple counting skills. This activity helped introduce concepts like patience and taking turns in a playful way.

No movie experience would be complete without popcorn, and each child got a chance to get some popcorn from the stand before heading to their seats. With tickets in hand and popcorn buckets ready, the children settled down for the movie, enjoying a relaxed atmosphere reminiscent of a family outing.

The event served as a practical way to highlight the importance of family bonds and provided a fun environment for developing social and cognitive skills. Activities like this continue to enrich the learning experience at Educare, helping children grow both academically and socially.
