Early years entry point activities play an important role in helping young children connect with new learning themes in a meaningful way. As part of their International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC) unit on Living Things titled, Visit to the Zoo, our toddlers at Educare enjoyed a hands-on Entry Point activity on the school grounds.
The children visited the school’s animal pen, where they saw and observed animals like goats, chickens and turkeys. This simple, real-life experience helped them begin to understand living things and their needs.
The visit provided a practical introduction to the unit, encouraging curiosity and early learning about animals in a safe and familiar environment.
