Recently, the Secondary Campus hosted an inspiring Career Day event. It brought together parents from various professions, eg. law, banking, armed forces, etc. This event was designed to give students a glimpse into different career paths. It also provided them with valuable insights and guidance on making career choices.
The event featured individual presentations by parents who shared their professional journeys which gave our students a firsthand look at the realities of various careers. These presentations included personal anecdotes, challenges, and successes, providing a well-rounded view of each profession.
In addition to the presentations, there were enlightening breakout sessions. This allowed students to engage in more in-depth conversations with the professionals. These sessions allowed for a more interactive experience, enabling students to ask questions and seek personalised advice.
Adding to the day’s excitement, some students dressed in attire representing different professions and gave special presentations. This not only made the event more engaging but also helped students visualise themselves in various roles.
The Career Day was an educational and unifying event that brought the GIS community together. It gave students a better understanding of potential career paths and the steps needed to achieve their goals.
