Charity

Charity is an important value that GIS cherishes dearly. The vision of the school is to inculcate the virtue of giving in the students as one of their moral duties, so that they can help the less privileged in our society.
Giving to charity is anchored on the tripod of GIS’s motto:

UNITY

Based on the universal love for humanity which verges compassion, empathy, and sharing.

STRENGTH

Empowering the less fortunate amongst us so they become capable of fending for themselves.

EXCELLENCE

Identifying and nurturing potential talents in the less privileged so they become more useful to themselves and to society.

Once a term GIS Primary Campus, Secondary Campus, and the Sixth Form have what is called, Mufti Day. On Mufti Day, children can wear casual clothing instead of school uniform. In return, pupils are encouraged to make a small donation to the school’s charity, ‘The Child’. The Child is a school for the mentally and physically challenged.
