Primary School Entry Assessment

Our Primary Campus extends from Grade 1 to Grade 5. Pupils have to be five years and above at the point of admission into Grade 1.

To be considered for Greenoak’s Primary Campus, children must complete an application form, and pass our assessment. We encourage applicatons before the first term or second term of a child’s chosen academic year.

The Primary Campus admits children into a current school year for most months during the year except April to early July.
Admission sought between April to early July is deferred until the start of the following school academic year (September).

After a successfully scheduled entrance exam, an interview follows where both the child and their parents/guardians are present.

We anticipate that all children coming into our nursery counterpart – Educare – will continue their academic journey by continuing their education in Greenoak’s Primary Campus.

Pupils from Educare who wish to attend GIS Primary are given the opportunity to see what a day in the life of a Grade 1 student would be like by having a taster session. During this tester session, children meet staff, pupils, and take part in classroom activities.

For children in Educare who wish to move up to Grade 1, GIS Primary. The transition class are given an entrance admission test. The next stage of the admission process is an interview/developmental assessment at the Primary Campus.

Lastly, the parents are given the commitment fee invoice.
Once this payment is made, the necessary pre-admission forms are completed by the parents and the admission letter is given to the parents.
